The Oct-Nov 2003 Active Period

The October 19 to November 4, 2003 period was characterised by a large number of energetic flares and CMEs. The table below gives details of the 12 X-class flares which occured during this period. The increased activity level resulted from the formation of 3 complex beta-gamma-delta regions: NOAA 0484, 0486, and 0488.
